Lenovo Claims Fastest Windows 7 Boot Times

fastest startup time windows 7
Lenovo Group Ltd. is playing a lawsuit in early potentially critical field gold rush Windows 7, the PC vendor has the fastest start and stop times.

ThinkPad notebooks and ThinkCentre desktops for businesses will boot Windows 7 up to 56% faster than when loading XP or Vista, Lenovo said.

Meanwhile, IdeaPad and IdeaCentre consumer PCs Certified for Windows "7 The experience of Lenovo Enhanced" will charge 33% faster and 50% off faster than those not certified, but otherwise identical hardware.

Howard Locker, director of the new technology of the PC manufacturer in China, told Computerworld, in some cases "have spent a minute boot-up to 30 seconds and 20 seconds closing with 10."

Locker, who also holds the title of "master inventor" Lenovo claims to this "amazing job" three years of engineering work by the team speed of Lenovo, in close collaboration with Microsoft Corp., during which the two vendors, literally, "every driver timed single application."

Some specific measures to sharpen Lenovo's Windows 7:-

* Fixed in the drivers of the hardware components of the card that accumulates, causing massive delays. For example, Lenovo found a driver for a device "popular wireless" was written to pass the certification specifications worst of the condition and therefore clung 4 MB of system memory continuous into 4 pieces KB, Locker said. This added five seconds to the time it took for a PC to go to sleep. After getting the third-party vendor to fix the driver, Lenovo cutting overhead conductor, just 200 milliseconds.
* Adjusted the startup phase of the BIOS to temporarily hide some of the devices Windows 7, so that the operating system loads only the drivers once the boot.
* Adjusted Windows 7 to delay loading of nonessential services and applications until after the start. These include the automatic updating of applications from Adobe and Microsoft, or even Windows features. While users may try to play with Windows itself, Locker, warned that "do it yourself" are unlikely to achieve the same improvements.
* Re-enter your power manager to be easier to use. It also includes an extra chip on their laptop computers to more accurately measure the remaining battery life than Windows 7, and help "stretch" out as long as possible.

Independent analyst Jack Gold applauded the work of Lenovo with Windows 7, saying that customers were tired of the slow Windows startup time, even before Apple Inc. and Google Inc. used it as a talking point for score points against Microsoft.

"It was Vista that screws everything up, starting as UPS had double the XP" Gold said. "It was ugly."

It is not clear, however, that Lenovo has worked more than his rival, or PC makers is just "the brand is better," he said.

"HP does this, Toshiba and Dell as well," he said.

And what about the trend of Windows to decrease over time as applications, hardware and service packs are added to it? Lenovo try to stop that by keeping your computer speed the North Carolina drivers test availability of popular devices against Windows 7 and its hardware, Locker said.

With Windows 7, "Windows rot is a minor problem in earlier versions," said Locker. "But only time will tell."

Lenovo said that the label of the enhanced experience also connotes other guarantees. For example, IdeaPad and IdeaCentre PCs with the label may stutter output HD video up to 1080p HD quality, and support for Microsoft DirectX 10 APU for the game and advanced graphic features.

Some pills also improved experience and laptops, Lenovo SimpleTap recently introduced multi-touch technology that recognizes up to four fingers at once. Potentially allowing more complicated and precise touch of the screen commands conventional two-finger multitouch.

Although Lenovo multitouch hug, Locker, Lenovo said iconic red TrackPoint, debuted 17 years ago and are available in all ThinkPads, is not likely to disappear soon.

"The TrackPoint is much more accurate, and you have to move your hands from the keyboard" she said. "People really still love her.
